A medical card never makes it legal to drive impaired; every state treats cannabis-impaired driving as a DUI, and THC can show up on tests well after the effects wear off. On the job, a card doesn't automatically protect you either: many employers can still enforce drug-free policies, and protections vary widely by state and industry, especially safety-sensitive and federal roles.
